The Third International NOTICE Conference will be held on 13-15 June, 2012. The main track will be Computer Science with a Purpose and Human-Centred Information System Design. Previous editions focused on Computer Games in Education (2010) and Novel Computer Science & Technology Applications (2011), both conducted in parallel with co-located Computer Science in Education Workshops.
The NOTICE Conference is forum for state-of-the-art of IT technologies in applications. The conference scope gives a wide view at possibilities of their use in education and other areas of knowledge, science and life. One of the outputs we achieved in previous years was a monograph on computer games problems, and one other book is now in print.
Apart from this year main track, computer science in education is always the scope of conference, but areas expanded into general and specific theoretical and practical aspects of computer science and ICT are of interest. It also comprises an important role of new computer science technologies against e-exclusion. Another specific areas are computer forensics and pervasive computing.
History of Notice events:
The first NOTICE Conference took place in 2010 as a New IT Technologies in Service for Education Workshop. There were two important aims of that event:
- The promotion of Technology and Education collaboration in wide area of science disciplines and teaching.
- Dissemination of knowledge and experience in IT New Technologies for Education.
The second NOTICE evolved into international conference in 2011 and broadened the scope into novel applications of computer science in general.
